The Register — In the midst of a weakening global economy and rampant uncertainty as to when the recession will lift from North America and Western Europe, one thing is certain: open-source technology skills may be the best hope for landing a good job. As reported by The Wall Street Journal, open source claims five of the top 10 keywords in Indeed.com's job listings, with Hadoop, Puppet, Android, and jQuery making the list, along with HTML5, a proxy for various open-source projects like ext-JS, SproutCore, etc.

Phoronix — Development is still early on for Steel Storm 2, but it's now been publicly announced and there's a teaser web-site. The teaser site reads "Steel Storm 2 is an old-school FPS in the spirit of Doom and Quake. It's spin off in the original Steel Storm universe. Linux is served first."
AMD FX-8150 Bulldozer Overclocking

Phoronix — Bulldozer overclocking has not yet been covered on Phoronix, since things do not change much compared to all of the Windows results you can find on the Internet with the excellent overclocking abilities of the FX-8150 and others. The only difference is that you do not have the AMD overclocking/tuning Windows applications available on Linux nor any of the other motherboard-specific utilities for monitoring and overclocking the hardware from within the operating system. If you are a Linux user, you are just left to traditional overclocking from the UEFI BIOS.
USB3.0 SATA Drive Dock in Linux
GNUski — I recently purchased an External Drive Dock for work; this allows me to plug 2 SATA drives into my USB3 card, power on the dock, and mount (up to) two internal hard drives as if they were normal USB drives.
